Digital Literacy Grant

Dear Superintendent,

To help you meet the NCLB mandate (unfunded in most states) of preparing and testing all 8th graders in digital literacy skills, NEF is offering $100 Million full tuition grants to all school districts in all 50 states and US territories starting now. The grants would be issued on a first come, first-serve basis.

Each student receives a $100 full tuition grant, and you pay $8 per student registration fee  if your F/R lunch rate is 35% or more, and $20 per student if your F/R rate is less than 35%. Your students will have 24/7 unlimited access for the 2015-16 school year to the Web-based digital literacy course (IC3) prepared by the State University of New York (SUNY). The IC3 ( Internet & Computing Core Curriculum) is a universally recognized course meeting the digital literacy test standard of all 50 states. The course consists of:

1) Basic Computer Skills

2) Computer Application Skills

3) Internet (Living Online) Skills

Highlights:

1) Any  student,  successfully completing the  course, will receive a certificate  from the acclaimed State University of New York (SUNY).
